A break doesn't have to be long.
Five minutes can be a start.
Sometimes your day is so full that even taking a break feels like another task. Yet a break doesn't have to be perfect or particularly long.
A small beginning
Put both feet on the floor. Let your shoulders drop. Look out of the window for a moment. You don't need a special setting.
A question for you
What would feel good right now? Perhaps a glass of water, a quiet song or a few minutes away from a screen. Choose one small thing that's possible today.
A short mindfulness exercise for everyday life
Find a moment when you can briefly pause. Notice three things you can see, two sounds you can hear and one touch you can feel. It might be the cup in your hand or the back of your chair.
You don't have to change anything. If your mind wanders, simply return to one of those sensations.
A break can stay simple
Relaxing music can accompany your moment. If you prefer silence, leave it out. What matters is making your break suit you.
